After a long winter it is always important to clean out your home and office. We spend so much time during the cold months breathing recycled air and dust. Not only is it important for your health but it is important for the over all condition of your office to clean everything again! Here are some tips and tricks to help you out:
Air Ducts and Filters: The first thing on my list is always the air ducts! Air ducts circulate the air all year long. This is why it is important to clean them out every year! Also make sure that you replace your furnace filter(s). This will do two things for you. One it will cut down on dust that is getting circulated in your house and it will improve the quality of the air you breathe!
Carpets: Your carpets do similar things to your furnace filters. They trap dirt and dust! They are like little sponges that absorb everything! Now cleaning them is important. You need to make sure you hire a professional that doesn't use a bunch of soaps and nasty things. This stuff will just musk the smells and ends up molding in your carpets. You can always call us if you have questions!
Walls and Cabinets: Very important! Especially if you have kids! Germs love to hide all over the walls and handles of everything! The best thing to clean this with is a little bit of bleach and warm water. Bleach is one of the major chemicals that we use to "Kill All" in the hospitals and clinics that we work in. This must be measures correctly! You can also use certain "scents" to add into the bleach water to make your house smell fresh. I believe they also make scented bleach! Its cheap and safe if done right! I recommend calling us and we can help you with this!
Mattresses and Desk Chairs: There are a couple of things you can do to treat your mattress after a winter season! Believe it or not Dawn Dish soap and water will kill everything that is living in or on your mattress. You have to mix it correctly but it kills all! Plus it is nontoxic! Again, this is another service our house keeping division can help with.
