Children are doers and they love to help! When they are given opportunities to help around the house, such as setting the table, putting away the dishes or wiping down the counters, these really simple things amount to something big later in life. In fact, according to a long-standing research study, putting your little ones to work is one of the keys to a successful life. Sure, giving children chores can mean a little more work for you in the short-term, but the pro-social behaviors and work ethic instilled therein last a lifetime.
